Sick in the head?? Maybe.

I just watched the ESOAL trailer that is on You Tube. Funny stuff. Made me laugh. Made my stomach knot up. Made me want to do it again. Made me kind of glad I can't. Definitely made me laugh again. Who is going to be there this year???

I miss my little Romaniacs!!

I have to admit, I was a little nervouse heading off to Romania with a bunch of 11 to 13 year olds. But these kids were awesome!! They came excited about how the Lord was going to use them and jumped right into preparing the VBS.
My team did two VBS's, one in the morning and one in the evening. Instead of doing the VBS in a church or some other organized place, our team just headed to a park and invited all the kids to come! And they did! By the end of the week, forty four kids had committed to follow Jesus and were excited about learning more. The church we were working with in Romania is going to continue going to those parks and working with kids. The goal is to bring the kids and their families to the church. How exciting to know that the seeds we planted are being watered!
I didn't actually take any pictures, but here are some I got from the rest of the team. They are pretty random!

This was the drama we did during our VBS. Daniel, Christie, Matthew and Patience did an amazing job!

A Testimony of God's Faithfulness!

I graduated in May and only applied for one school district because that is what I felt peace about doing when I prayed. Most of my fellow students thought I was crazy since our teachers tell us to apply at two or three districts...we have to have options! But I really did not feel peace about pursuing a job. I was nervous about teaching and felt like the Lord was going to direct me to the job He wanted me to have. I was even open to a job not in the teaching field; I just wanted to know that I was in the place the Lord has for me. So I came up to Minnesota without a job lined up for the fall. For some crazy reason, I was not worried about where I was going to work in the fall. I just trusted that the Lord has a plan and was going to show me what it was in His time.

So, here I am in Minnesota, working at a chiropractor's office. Everyone here is telling me to apply for teaching positions up here. Although I love everyone here, I knew that is not what I was supposed to do! Then, I went to this church conference. I am living with Nicole and Eric, and Eric's band was doing a concert for the youth at this conference. To our surprise, the guy directing the youth conference is none other than Chris Hart. His brother Ben was at the Honor Academy with Nicole and I; she was on the drama team when he was directing it. So we got to talking, and Chris mentioned that his mom is a principal in the Dallas area. I was like, "What?!" When he found out that I had just been certified, he whips out his cell phone and calls his mom leaving messages telling her what a great person I am and that she should hire me. (Mind you, he just met me that evening!) We played phone tag for a couple of days before finally connecting; once we did talk, I was blown away. She is the principal of a charter school, which means it is a publically funded school, but it is run with more of a private school feel. The staff has much more influence on the focus and drive of the school. This school's goal is to bring Biblical principles back into public education. They believe that we will not see education in America improve until we see the kids being taught morality as well as knowledge. Hello!!! That's what I have been saying throughout my student teaching. So, after talking with her for an hour and a half, she offered me a job! Crazy! I am meeting with her when I fly back to Dallas in a couple of days....

So, there it is. God gave me peace about not applying anywhere because He knew just where He wanted me. And I am headed there!

Hooray!

P.S. I am off to Teen Mania next week to go on a Juniors trip to Romania. Please pray that the Lord anoints our trip and has His way everywhere that we go! I am so excited to see Him move!
